My Car is a telematics system by MyCar LLC that connects your vehicle's remote starter to your smartphone. MyCar can also provide your vehicle's location and alerts related to your vehicle's location and security.

You can use your smartphone to pre-warm your car’s cabin in the winter, pre-cool it in the summer, lock and unlock your doors, arm and disarm your vehicle’s security system, open your trunk, and even find your car in a parking lot, all using your smartphone.

We strongly recommend that all of our customers have their MyCar system professionally installed by an authorized retailer and installer. You can find an authorized store near you today using our Store Locator.

The MyCar smartphone app is available today in the iOS App Store and Google Play store. It is compatible with all iOS and Android devices, including today's high-resolution devices.

Yes, using the same login, you can control your MyCar units/vehicles from multiple smartphones or tablets.

In short, yes. MyCar is compatible with all vehicles, which includes luxury makes, hybrids, manual-transmissions, and diesel vehicles. Some of these vehicles have special requirements when adding a remote start system (e.g. bypass modules, additional sensors.).

If you are a U.S. customer, you will need the CDMA device ArrowC-RS model. If you are a Canadian customer, you will need the 3G device ArrowH-RS model.

MyCar devices come with a 1-Year Warranty that protects customers from defects and malfunctioning hardware.

Every MyCar device comes with a 16-Digit Serial Number that identifies the module on carrier's network. A Serial Number can only be associated with one e-mail at any given time. Thus, a MyCar device cannot be controlled by multiple accounts/e-mails.

The MyCar device functions very similarly to a smartphone in that it is constantly transmitting cellular data to and from your vehicle. Thus, in order to keep your MyCar device actively connected to the cellular network, a MyCar plan is required. Learn more about our plans.

In order to delete your MyCar account and the personal information associated with it all you need to do is remove all of the vehicles from the account. When the last vehicle is removed, the account will be deleted from our system. Please consult your certified reseller for more details.

Yes, to remove a MyCar device/vehicle from your account, log into your account, go in "My Cars” and choose the vehicle to be transferred. At top right, click the "Configuration Gear” and click on the "Transfer to new owner” link. Enter the new owner’s email and click done.

MyCar is a clever solution that combines the functionality of your vehicle’s keyfob with your cellphone. Now you can control your vehicle’s locks, security system, remote start system, trunk release and Auxiliaries with your cellphone. No. You can continue to use your existing cellular service.

We are simply using carrier's faster and broader network to connect your MyCar hardware to the network. Connected-car systems like MyCar don’t require the high bandwidth and high speed capabilities of 4G LTE. Switching to a 4G LTE network would offer no improvement in performance, but it does cost more. Because we are committed to provide MyCar consumers with the lowest cost/highest performance solution, Verizon’s CDMA and Canadian's 3G network are the perfect option.

With MyCar, there is no such thing as "too far away." MyCar works over a cellular network or over Wi-Fi, giving you virtually unlimited range anywhere in the North America. As long as your vehicle is in range of a cellular signal and your phone has a 3G or Wi-Fi signal, MyCar will work.

Your MyCar is an "always-on” connected device that communicates over a cellular network. Just like a cellphone, your MyCar requires a service plan from a cellular provider to communicate over the network.

Your annual service plan was designed to cover all the activity that a customer would use under any reasonable circumstances. Like all other "unlimited” services such as cell phone data plans, we do have a limit on the number of uses per month that we can enforce on a case by case basis in the event that a device is malfunctioning or a subscriber is clearly abusing the service (e.g. commercial purposes). In the unlikely event that you approach the usage limits of your service plan, you’ll receive a notice with an option to opt up to a higher usage plan for an additional fee.

Step 1
Your installer activates the MyCar device: Immediately after installing the device in the vehicle, your installer will activate the device using a specific device serial number.
Step 2
You set up your account and activate your MyCar smartphone app: Once your MyCar device is installed, you can create your account.
  1. From your smartphone, launch the MyCar App.
  2. Click on "Create New Account" and enter your Email, First name, Last name and cellphone number and then click "Create your Account".
  3. You will receive an email that contains your MyCar username and a clickable link to securely create your account password. Click on the link in the email.
  4. Create your secure password (enter it twice).
  5. Go back to the App and enter your Login (email) and newly created password and click the "Login" button to access your vehicles.
  6. To Add a new vehicle/My Car device, Click on the (+) at the bottom right of screen and enter the registration code that your installer has given you with the user instructions.

MyCar is available only through authorized retailers that offer professional installation. Professional installation is required.

Remote start means being able to start your vehicle from a distance using a remote control, or in the case of MyCar, your smartphone. This allows you to have the vehicle warmed up in cold weather or cooled down in hot weather, before you get in to drive it. This may seem like a luxury but in extreme climates it is virtually a necessity as well as a safety factor.

The remote starter systems keeps the vehicle locked securely while it is remote started, and it still requires a key to actually drive the car. If anyone gets in the car and tries to drive it without the key, the car just shuts off.
